2025 Year in Review: Adventist Health Tillamook

Adventist Health Tillamook today announced its 2025 year‑in‑review, reflecting a year of continued service, local investment, and a strong commitment to whole‑person care. Throughout 2025, the organization cared for the community through 84,322 clinic visits, 11,271 emergency department visits, 1,720 inpatient and outpatient procedures, 4,845 ambulance responses, and 133 newborn deliveries. Adventist Health Tillamook closed the year supported by 502 associates, 40 physicians and advanced practice providers, and 44 volunteers who contributed to the hospital’s mission of inspiring health, wholeness, and hope.

From January 2024 through June 2025, Adventist Health Tillamook reinvested more than $12.7 million in community benefits. As a nonprofit organization, Adventist Health reinvests all earnings directly into patient care, community programs, and essential health services rather than distributing profits to shareholders. These resources fund charity care for individuals unable to pay, support critical programs, subsidize key services, and help offset the growing gap between the cost of care and what Medicaid and Medicare reimburse. These efforts reflect the faith‑based mission of Adventist Health and its commitment to caring for all, particularly those most in need, amid ongoing financial and operational challenges.

“For Adventist Health, our community benefit is one of the most tangible ways we live our mission of inspiring health, wholeness, and hope,” said Eric Swanson, president of Adventist Health Tillamook. “Each dollar reflects our commitment to caring for every person, regardless of their ability to pay, while investing in the programs, partnerships, and services that make our community stronger.”

Looking ahead, Adventist Health Tillamook has identified provider recruitment and capital improvements as essential priorities for 2026. “Our greatest opportunity in 2026 is expanding access by recruiting new providers,” Swanson said. “We are strengthening and expanding our recruiting partnerships to bring more clinicians to Tillamook County and ensure our community continues to have timely access to high-quality, compassionate care. We are also moving forward with construction to complete the surgery suite remodel later this year, which will further enhance our ability to meet the community’s growing surgical and procedural needs.”
