Spiritual Care
Nurturing the mind, body and spirit
As a faith-based care provider, we recognize the emotional and spiritual needs of those we treat medically, and believe in the transformative power of faith to help patients find peace, and resilience. That’s why we offer chaplains for visits with our patients and their loved ones 24 hours a day, along with other ways to connect with your spirituality, regardless of your faith or denomination.
Spiritual support services
Our spiritual care is available to all who visit us and is tailored to your needs and beliefs. We offer numerous ways to connect with your spirituality to find hope, comfort, and peace of mind. Including:
Chaplain visits
Our chaplains are available 24 hours a day to console you and pray with you. They can help by listening to your concerns, helping you work through hard decisions, or just lifting the weight you may be feeling. To request a chaplain visit, ask your nurse or any member of your care team, or call us at 530-749-4322.
Connecting with your clergy
The Spiritual Care team can coordinate visits with members from your local clergy. We are also supported by multi-denominational volunteers who offer personalized spiritual guidance.
Tree of Life and Hope
Located on the first floor of the main hospital, the Tree of Life and Hope is a sacred space designed to welcome people of all faiths. All patients, visitors, and staff are encouraged to visit any time for prayer, healing, and meditation. Leave a prayer request on our tree so that our team of chaplains can pray for you and your loved ones.
Bereavement support
Each person experiences the loss of a loved one in unique ways. Our chaplains offer personalized grief support to help families begin their emotional and spiritual healing. If we can be of support, please call us at 530-749-4322.
