Childbirth Classes

We're here to help you get prepared for delivery. We have partnered with Injoy Health Education to provide you with an engaging online childbirth education program. Our "Understanding Birth eClass" will equip you with birthing techniques so you'll be ready when the big day comes. Our class includes engaging videos, animation, quizzes and follow-along exercises and games. It is available 24 hours a day on any device with an internet connection, and you'll have access to our online material for eight weeks after registration.

When the big day arrives, your physician and our team of specialized Labor & Delivery nurses and technicians at Adventist Health Delano are here for you. Our facilities include:

  • Five private birthing rooms for delivery and recovery
  • A dedicated surgery suite for caesarean deliveries
  • Newborn nursery

A Great Start for Baby

There’s no feeling in the world like holding your newborn! But it can also feel like a huge responsibility. We’ll help to make sure you’re prepared to care for your baby with:

  • Baby care instruction and materials
  • Breastfeeding education and coaching
  • Car seat education
  • A final checkup for you and baby before you leave
  • Baby wellness check-ups

Adventist Health Delano stays on top of the latest research, regulations and policies regarding COVID-19 and adjusts our patient and visitor protocols according to this information. Our number-one priority is the safety of you and your baby. If you ever have a question or concern regarding our COVID practices, please speak with your physician, nurse, or other care provider.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has prepared an excellent resource for COVID safety during pregnancy and with your newborn. Your care provider will also give you information, tips and guidance to help you stay COVID-safe.
