Cancer Services at Adventist Health Glendale (AHGL) is the only cancer program in Glendale, CA, to be accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. As part of these exceptional standards, we encourage and promote communication and cooperation among surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, pathologists and other cancer specialists, resulting in improved patient care.

The accreditation is awarded every three years. In our 2011 survey, Cancer Services received the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer. AHGL is one of two hospitals in all of Los Angeles County to receive this award in the following six areas of program activity:

  • Cancer committee leadership
  • Cancer data management
  • Clinical management
  • Research
  • Community outreach
  • Quality improvement
