Adventist Health White Memorial Charitable Foundation’s work extends beyond enhancing services and advancing technology within our hospital and clinic walls. We also operate signature programs to directly support Adventist Health’s mission to inspire health, wholeness, and hope. Through these programs, we’re creating stronger communities and brighter futures for our friends and neighbors.

Supporting health and wholeness at our Community Well-being Centers

A Community Well-being Center (CWC) is a welcoming, one-stop hub designed to support health, connection, and overall wellness for individuals and families our communities. Through the ¡Vive Bien! Wellness Program and other free offerings, our CWCs in Los Angeles and Montebello provide fitness and nutrition education, health insurance enrollment assistance, and access to vital social resources. Focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, the Centers connect community members with the tools, guidance, and support they need to thrive.

Creating impact through our Volunteer and Healthcare Workforce Development Programs

The Volunteer and Healthcare Workforce Development Program invites community members to support patients while gaining meaningful professional and networking experience. Through volunteering or interning at Adventist Health White Memorial and Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello, participants contribute to improving health, wholeness, and hope in East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and Montebello. The program is uniquely focused on developing a culturally competent healthcare workforce, empowering individuals to make a lasting impact on both their own futures and the well-being of their community.
