We go further, for excellence and quality, and it shows.
Adventist Health St. Helena has been honored as a top performer in quality and safety for the fourth consecutive year. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded the hospital a 5-star rating, the highest possible, through the Overall Hospital Star Ratings program.
The CMS 5-Star rating program is a trusted resource for consumers evaluating organizations committed to safe and high-quality patient care. The CMS Overall Star Rating assigns 1 to 5 stars based on a hospital’s performance in five key areas: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, and timeliness and effectiveness of care.
Adventist Health St. Helena shines as one of the top-performing hospitals in the North Bay area, California, and Nationwide, earning a rare five-star rating shared by only 10% of hospitals across the country. It stands as the sole hospital in Napa County to achieve this prestigious recognition.
“We deeply appreciate the community’s unwavering support and extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated staff,” said Dr. Steven Herber, President of Adventist Health St. Helena. “Earning this recognition for the fourth consecutive year is a clear testament to our relentless commitment to excellence in patient care. This accolade highlights the exceptional healthcare resources available to Napa Valley and beyond, and we are proud to share this achievement with everyone we serve.”
The CMS 5-Star rating program is the most recent accolade attained by the organization, which includes: Women’s Choice Awards, U.S. News & World Report High Performing Hospital, The Joint-Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification, Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA), among others.
