There are many ways to give back to Adventist Health and Rideout, both now and in the future.

Make your impact

Let us help you find the best way to start making your own impact — from honoring a loved one with your donation, to setting up a planned gift, to getting your company involved.

Gifts of stocks and securities

There are distinct tax advantages to considering gifts of appreciated securities such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Donors do not incur capital gains tax on appreciated securities given for charitable purposes and the full value qualifies for a charitable tax deduction.

Life insurance

There are two ways to use life insurance to make a charitable gift to Adventist Health Rideout Foundation. The simple option is to name us as one of the beneficiaries on your policy. The more complex option, which allows you to qualify for a charitable deduction now, is to donate the policy to us. For this option, you must relinquish all incidents of ownership in the policy by irrevocably designating Adventist Health Rideout Foundation as owner and beneficiary.

Bequests

Including Adventist Health Rideout Foundation in your legacy plans is a way of ensuring your community's access to quality health care close to home. Bequests from a will or trust allow you to make a difference in the future of our community. Sample bequest inclusion language is "I hereby give ___ % (specify percentage) of my residuary estate to The Fremont-Rideout Foundation (Tax ID 23-7366330), a California nonprofit corporation, of Marysville, California." Please share with us that you have included Adventist Health Rideout Foundation in your plans so we can ensure we put your gift to use according to your wishes.

Beneficiary designation

Beneficiary designations from your retirement plan are a tax-smart way to make a bequest. When gifted to non-spouse individuals, retirement assets can be heavily taxed to recipients, but Adventist Health Rideout Foundation is able to accept these assets free of tax, minimizing the taxes due from your estate. You can choose to make Adventist Health Rideout Foundation a full, partial, or contingent beneficiary, meaning a gift to Adventist Health Rideout does not limit you from also benefiting your family. To make Adventist Health Rideout Foundation a beneficiary of your retirement account, visit your plan administrator's site and use the following information to update your beneficiary form: The Fremont-Rideout Foundation, Tax ID 23-7366330, 414 G Street, Suite 130, Marysville, CA 95901.
