Dr. Marina Arbuck Joins Our Medical Team, Bringing Nearly 30 Years of Experience and Compassionate Care
Nov 13, 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Marina Arbuck, MD, has joined our team at the Adventist Health Mendocino Coast Medical Offices. Now accepting new patients, Dr. Arbuck brings nearly three decades of medical expertise and a deep passion for community care, specializing in internal medicine.
Dr. Arbuck treats a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, chronic diseases, and mental health disorders, with a particular fondness for working with elderly patients. She believes in fostering trust-based relationships with her patients over time, emphasizing the importance of personalized, compassionate care.
A graduate of a Russian medical school, Dr. Arbuck confirmed her diploma in the United States in 1995. During her emigration period from 1989 to 1995, she worked as a medical interpreter, assisting Russian Jewish refugees in Nettuno, Italy. In the U.S., she served as a research assistant at Eli Lilly and Co. and Indiana University School of Nursing. Dr. Arbuck’s diverse experiences, including roles such as a patient care technician at St. Vincent Hospital in Indiana, have enriched her understanding of patient care and made her a better doctor.
Dr. Arbuck is trained in internal medicine. Her patient-centered approach focuses on complex problem-solving, particularly for adults age 18 and older, addressing chronic diseases related to the lungs, heart, nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal issues, and skin disorders.
“I derive great satisfaction from doing good, especially for communities that lack medical care,” Dr. Arbuck shares. “Having lost my mother at the age of 90, I have developed a special fondness for the elderly and consider the relationship with my patients the most important aspect of care.”
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Arbuck enjoys painting in an abstract style, caring for her two terriers, and immersing herself in nature. She is an avid reader, a museum and theater enthusiast, and a classical music aficionado. Fluent in English and Russian, she also understands Ukrainian and has recently been involved in helping Ukrainian refugees in Oregon.
Here are what a few of her patients are saying:
“Welcome to our community! I saw her for the first time today and I think she a great person that is full of love and compassion for her patients. We appreciate you being here, providing our community with such great care!”
“My husband and I have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Arbuck and I’d have to say she is awesome. I retired from the medical field after working in it 38 years so I can be really picky. Dr. Arbuck is one of the best I’ve seen.”
“Dr. Marina Arbuck, you are the answer to our prayers.”
Join us in welcoming Dr. Marina Arbuck to our community! We are excited to have her expertise and compassion on board.
