Volunteers play an important role in the care Adventist Health Howard Memorial provides to its patients and the community. Positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a wide variety of departments in the hospital. Volunteers enjoy greeting patients and visitors and delivering books and flowers to patients. Other opportunities include spiritual care services, helping in the Commonwealth Garden, clerical work, creating care packages for patients, and fundraising for medical center equipment.

"Volunteers are a wonderful group of people who selflessly give of their time to serve others and their community. As we excitedly await the completion of our new hospital, we look forward to having a larger team to help out at the new location," Volunteer Coordinator Becky Hope said. "I strongly encourage those members of our community who are wondering how they can make a difference to think about volunteering at the hospital, it may be one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have."

If you have thoughts about giving back to your community, we may be just what you are looking for. To join the Adventist Health Howard Memorial Auxiliary team, email Jill Damian, Patient Experience Director at damianj@ah.org.
