Visitor Guidelines

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases and the highly contagious Delta variant in our county we are not allowing visitors into our hospital except for special circumstances starting Thursday, August 12 until further notice.

  • Emergency Room: Limited visitors, visitors encouraged to wait outside.
  • Outpatient: Limited visitors, all others asked to wait outside.
  • *EXCEPTIONS: Pediatrics/Disabled/End-of-life patients: Exceptions will be determined by the health care team. Under these special circumstances, visitors to Adventist Health hospitals will be required by the State of California to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours starting Wednesday, August 11.
  • All COVID-19 precautions still apply: Screening for symptoms, masking is required at all times and social-distancing.
  • Café available for take-out only.

The California Department of Public Health requires one of the following proofs of COVID-19 vaccination to enter a California hospital:

  1. COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card), which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered); OR
  2. Photo of a Vaccination Record Card as a separate document; OR
  3. Photo of the client's Vaccination Record Card stored on a phone or electronic device, OR
  4. Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a healthcare provider; OR
  5. Digital record that includes a QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader displays to the reader client name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type.

A “Fully Vaccinated Person” means individuals who are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization), or two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen). COVID-19 vaccines that are currently authorized for emergency use.

We thank you for your continued cooperation as we keep our visitors, staff and patients safe.
