  • Treatment for common illnesses such as ear infections, cough, colds and flu, nausea, or diarrhea
  • Minor injuries such as abrasions, sprains, strains, and minor fractures, with on-site X-rays available on a limited basis
  • Splinter removal or stitches for small cuts
  • Other conditions such as rashes and insect bites, sunburns, and bladder or urinary tract infections

Answering your questions about immediate care

Our immediate care is conveniently located on the first floor of Water’s Edge Medical Clinic. We are usually open daily, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Is immediate care covered by insurance?

We accept Medicare and many insurance plans, keeping care accessible and affordable. We will collect any required copayments or deductibles at the time of service.

Is immediate care right for me?

Immediate care does not replace your primary care physician or a hospital’s emergency department. Instead, it fills a gap that exists between the two. It’s what we call “Right Care, Right Place, Right Time.”

How do I know whether to visit my doctor, immediate care, or the emergency room?

Many people are unsure whether to visit an emergency room or immediate care, which is understandably confusing. Here’s a quick overview of who to visit when.

Your primary care doctor

Routine exams, annual physicals, ongoing care, and overall wellness.

Immediate care

Urgent medical care for ailments that are not life-threatening but need attention while your primary care physician is unavailable.

Hospital emergency department

Care you need right now for life-threatening conditions, including heart attack, stroke, and severe trauma.
