Robert Barclay, MD, Joins Central Coast GI Team

We are pleased to welcome Robert Lawrence Barclay, MD, to our Adventist Health gastroenterology team in San Luis Obispo and Templeton.

Dr. Barclay is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 25 years of experience providing high-quality care for adults ages 18 and older. He is certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and has also served for more than two decades as a clinical assistant professor of medicine in both the United States and Canada.

Dr. Barclay treats a wide range of digestive conditions, including acid-peptic disease, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal cancers, and bile duct disorders. He offers advanced diagnostic and treatment options such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and specialized techniques to evaluate and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts and pancreas, along with ultrasound exams of the digestive system.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Dr. Barclay is committed to combining innovation with compassionate, patient-centered care to help individuals achieve better health and quality of life.
