Patients who required physical rehabilitation are provided with spacious, semi-private rooms. During your time at the hospital, you will work with an experienced rehabilitation team comprised of physical, speech and occupational therapists.

The center is designed to help patients maintain and improve their independence. We offer rehabilitation for:

  • Joint replacement
  • Fractures
  • Strokes
  • General Surgeries
  • Pulmonary and Cardiac
  • Back and Neck pain
  • Multi-trauma
  • Wounds

Our team is dedicated to each patient as they strive to overcome limitations and maximize their potential in a spacious state-of-the-art gym as well as an outside mobility course where patients can exercise at stations and on varied surfaces while enjoying the outdoors. We are committed to helping each patient achieve positive outcomes and regain function, so you can safely return home as quickly as your recovery allows.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage health conditions so that they can achieve long term benefits. Physical therapist’s treatment techniques aim to reduce pain, improve and restore mobility, prevent disability, and restore function.

Areas of treatment may include:

  • Increasing strength and mobility in the body and lower extremities
  • Increasing motor control
  • Improving coordination, balance and the ability to walk
  • Improving overall strength conditioning, range of motion and endurance
  • Pain management
  • Teaching proper body mechanics to prevent injury
  • Fall recovery training
  • Orthotic and/or prosthetic training

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists address physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory and perceptual abilities in various environments, teaching patients to maximize their independence and safety in self-care tasks following an illness, injury or surgery.

Areas of treatment may include:

  • Training in self-feeding, grooming, toileting, bathing, dressing, and homemaking skills
  • Training in the use of adaptive equipment, compensatory techniques and/or environmental adaptations
  • Increasing strength and coordination of upper extremities
  • Increasing safety awareness
  • Cognitive, visual and perceptual motor retraining
  • Wheelchair assessments, and wheelchair mobility and position training
  • Orthotic and/or prosthetic training

Speech-Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathologists address speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders by working to prevent, assesses, diagnose and treat these conditions for optimal social and psychosocial well-being.

Areas of treatment may include:

  • Increasing speech intelligibility with oral motor exercises, drill and compensation training
  • Increasing reacquisition of language
  • Vocal training for hoarseness, strain, increasing projection and eliminating vocal abuse
  • Training pragmatics for social use of language
  • Improving safety awareness with training of cognitive skills: executive function, problem solving, attention, memory, sequencing
  • Diet texture modifications to ease swallowing difficulty
  • Oral and pharyngeal muscle strengthening
  • Improving swallow safety to prevent aspiration through education and compensation
