Medical Imaging in Tulare

Adventist Health Tulare is currently offering imaging services in every department. These services, combined with licensed and experienced technologists and sonographers, ensure that patients receive excellent care and accurate diagnostic images.

This year, we have begun investing in state-of-the art imaging equipment that will provide sharp, digital images for MRI and CT, as well as 3D technology for our upcoming mammography system. We have already added two top-of-the-line DR ultrasound units and two new DR x-ray portable units. These units increase the comfort of the patient by bringing the equipment to the patient at bedside.

Mammography services are now available in Tulare! Adventist Health Tulare is resuming a number of services at the same time that we are developing new “norms” for patient care.
If you are due for a mammogram, you can now be seen at our mobile unit that is parked adjacent to the hospital. Safety precautions to care for you:
• Temperature screening of all patients and associates at emergency department entrance.
• Mandatory masking of all patients and associates during procedures.
• Thorough cleansing and sanitizing of all imaging suites after every exam.
• Separating outpatient mammo services from COVID-19 care areas.

Computed tomography (CT)

We can complete your entire CT exam during one breath hold. Less time means fewer errors for your images and greater comfort for you while producing your scan.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sounds waves and a computer to view internal organs as they function. Ultrasound can also be used to assess blood flow.

Our brand new, digital ultrasound systems bring extraordinary performance and color imaging to generate the highest quality studies. These images are used for many clinical needs, from checking on fetal growth to looking for organ abnormalities like gallstones.

Ultrasounds are used to view internal organs as they function and to assess blood flow through various vessels by using high-frequency sounds waves and a computer.

MRI

Our MRI scanning system produces images that reveal the details of your internal organs and tissues. Our MRI images give you and your physician the information you need to get an accurate diagnosis and make a plan for treatment.

3D digital mammography

State-of-the-art, 3D digital mammography equipment is part of a major overhaul to our imaging department and will arrive soon. Please check this site for more information as it becomes available.

X-ray

Our two x-ray suites produce images that show internal tissues bones and organs for diagnostic purposes.

In addition, our new portable x-ray systems produce digital images on the screen for immediate diagnosis in the patient’s room or in the Emergency Department.
