Congratulating Howard Memorial for Recognition as Becker’s Hospital Reviews’ List of 27 Critical Access Hospitals to Know
May 21, 2024
Congratulations to our Adventist Health Howard Memorial team for being recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of 27 critical access hospitals to know. Deemed by Becker's as a hospital that has, "Vital components of the overall healthcare delivery system, providing quality care to the residents and visitors of rural areas. The small but mighty organizations are working to expand access to specialty care, cut down on patient travel times, and improve community health."
A critical access hospital is one that offers 24/7 emergency care and has no more than 25 inpatient beds. While the team at Becker's compiled the list, our rankings and awards from noted respected organizations such as Healthgrades, the National Rural Health Association and the Chartis Center for Rural Health, were reviewed across all other critical access hospitals to determine the list of the top 27.
Out of 27 hospitals and locations on Becker's List, we were ranked over 1,326 hospitals across the United States and the only one in California out of the 36 other designated critical access hospitals in rural communities. This is a tremendous feat and we have each team member at our facility to thank for this recognition!!
We couldn't be more proud and grateful for the incredible work being done that continues to honor our talents with awards and recognition showing just how amazing our Howard family is. Congratulations to our team who continues to shine and a big thank you to our community who trusts us with their care and stands behind us as we perform at the top of the national level of hospitals.
