Banking/ATMs
If you need to access cash while in the medical center, there is one ATM located on the main Adventist Health Bakersfield campus. The ATM is located on the first floor of the medical center, just to the left of the main visitor elevators. If you cannot locate the ATM, please ask for assistance at the front desk.
Dining Options
Adventist Health Bakersfield offers a full-service Café to provide meals for patients, visitors and employees. Adventist Health Bakersfield has also partnered with Starbucks on a full-service Starbucks kiosk in front of the medical center.
The Café recently underwent a complete renovation which we're very excited about! Our Café is a great place where medical center employees and the community can enjoy healthy, wholesome food, socialize and enjoy a bit of revitalization in the middle of a busy day or while visiting loved ones.
The New Adventist Health Bakersfield Café features:
- A Smart Choice station, featuring healthy food options
- Made-to-order sandwiches both hot and cold
- Digital menu boards with nutrition information and pricing
- Hold and cold grab-and-go items for your convenience
- Healthier beverage options, including a new flavored water dispenser
- Four check-out lanes during peak hours to reduce line wait time

In 2008, Adventist Health Bakersfield opened a brand new lobby, including a luxurious Gift Gallery. The Gift Gallery features products ranging from essentials to specialty items, including:

Smoke-Free Campus
At Adventist Health Bakersfield (AHBD), we care about the health of our patients, staff and community. That's just one of the reasons why we created Kern County's only tobacco-free hospital campus. AHBD employees, patients and visitors are not permitted to smoke while on campus.
If you are a patient admitted to AHBD, please notify your nurse if you use tobacco. This information will be forwarded to your physician, who can make arrangements to provide you with tobacco-cessation products or discuss alternative resources for you.

Free wireless Internet is available at Adventist Health Bakersfield. All you need is a laptop or another wireless-enabled device. When you are ready to connect to the Internet while visiting the medical center or other select campus buildings, take the following steps to connect:
- Enable the wireless adapter on your device
- Search for available connections
- Connect to "AHPublic"
- Open your Internet browser
- On the "Login Page," review the terms of use
- If you agree, click "I accept the terms above"
- You are now connected and may begin browsing
