What to Expect During Rehabilitation

Our outpatient cardiac rehabilitation provides a safe and supervised exercise program designed to improve the heart's health. The program may last 8 to 16 weeks and is based on an individual plan of care that best fits your specific needs. Each session lasts an hour and is scheduled two to three days per week. As a safeguard, your heart rhythm, heart rate, and blood pressure will be closely monitored during exercise, assuring conformity to the exercise prescription ordered by your physician. We also offer some services tailored towards lifestyle changes, which include: cardiovascular disease education, diet and nutrition instruction, stress management, and medication education. We offer an adult fitness program for cardiac rehab graduates to promote continued wellness and optimal health.

How to Get Started

A referral from your physician, most often a cardiologist, is required to participate in the cardiac rehabilitation program. Most insurances, like Medicare, will cover the cardiac rehab sessions.
