At Adventist Health Simi Valley, our goal is simple: to provide you with superior service, unparalleled quality and excellent value. We offer a full range of clinical and pathology services for the Simi Valley community.

Our laboratory is staffed by licensed clinical laboratory scientists and phlebotomists under the direction of our pathologists who serve as medical directors.

Here, quality is our top priority. The Adventist Health Simi Valley laboratory adheres to strict internal quality control standards for equipment and testing procedures. In addition, all abnormal or atypical blood cytology samples are personally reviewed by a pathologist. When clinically significant, the findings are expeditiously discussed with the attending physician.

The Adventist Health Simi Valley lab is certified by Medicare and Medi-Cal (Medicaid) and is licensed by the state of California as an independent clinical laboratory. The lab follows the guidelines stipulated by the California Department of Health Services and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) of 1988 and subscribes to the College of American Pathologists and American Association of Bioanalysts proficiency testing programs.

Lab Tests Online is a public resource on clinical laboratory testing. The site is peer-reviewed, noncommercial and patient-centered. We also have customer service representatives available to answer your questions. Please call (805) 955-6350.

If you are required to fast for testing, then do not eat or drink anything except water for 12 hours before your lab test. Take medication as directed by your physician.

Adventist Health Simi Valley bills insurances and is contracted with most. Contact patient financial services at (805) 955-6923 to find out more. For the uninsured or cash-pay patient, a discount can be requested. Payment plans are available.

Diagnostic testing is done 24 hours a day with results available to the physician by mail, fax or internet. Most routine testing is completed within the same day and STAT testing is available by request. The Adventist Health Simi Valley Laboratory utilizes Associated Regional and University Pathology, Genzyme Genetics and Prometheus for specialty testing.
