Infusion Services
Adventist Health Portland offers complete outpatient infusion services. The infusion room is on the third floor at the southeast Portland campus. We are known for our warm, caring environment. Our highly trained infusion nurses are here to keep you comfortable while making your visit as short as possible so you can get back to your life. With our services, you can be independent and avoid a hospital stay.
Infusion therapy goes right to your bloodstream using an IV — a thin, flexible tube that goes into your vein.
Our infusion treatments include:
- Antibiotics
- Electrolytes and hydration
- Biologics
- Injections
- Blood and blood products
- Iron
- Central line/management
We also help with blood draws for laboratory tests. We have an on-site pharmacy, plus lab and imaging areas.
Your health care provider knows your personalized treatment plan, so they will refer you to the infusion room if necessary. The infusion room is usually by appointment.
Sometimes a patient needs infusion therapy right away. In those cases, a physician will work with the infusion nurse or nursing supervisor to get you the care you need when you need it.
