SYMPOSIUM POSTPONED - Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19, and, as a containment strategy to reduce the potential spread of the virus and in keeping with the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), White Memorial has postponed the Annual Cardio-Cerebral symposium that was originally scheduled on April 24, 2020.

We will be rescheduling the date of the Symposium. We are working on a new date, potentially sometime in June or when the CDC and our hospital leaders deem it safe to conduct such events. We will be announcing the new date and emailing everyone who has already registered. You may choose to carry your registration to the new date or request a refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Registration Information

Your registration to the Cardio-Cerebral Nursing Symposium includes continental breakfast, lunch, program handouts and parking validation. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m.

Course Description

This course is intended to provide health care professionals current, evidence-based knowledge across the continuum of cardiovascular and stroke care.

At the Conclusion of this Activity, Participants Will be Able To:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacologic treatments for the cardio-cerebral patient
  • Understand stroke risk reduction with the Watchman Device in atrial fibrillation patients
  • Identify advancements in aortic stenosis with TAVR approach
  • Identify the emotional and social challenges of patient care for the care giver
  • Build knowledge in the management of peripheral vascular disease
  • Understand treatment modalities and care of the acute ischemic stroke patient
