Providing Affordable Community Childcare
Yanira Mejia swoops her 8-month-old son, Christian, up from his
infant rocker and gives him a big smile and a kiss. It's been

Christian was the youngest infant enrolled when the new childcare
center opened at WMMC January 2001. The Rainbow Children's Center
is a joint venture between the Mexican-American Opportunity
Foundation (MAOF) and WMMC. It provides day care for children of
families throughout surrounding communities, as well as for WMMC
