Dr Hector FloresHector Flores, MD

Dr. Flores is currently the medical director for the Center for Hispanic Health at Adventist Health White Memorial and co-director of the Adventist Health White Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program. He co-founded and serves as medical director of Family Care Specialists Medical Group (FCS) and has more than 25 years of experience in medical education.

He attended Stanford University and the UC Davis School of Medicine and upon graduation received the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation National Merit Award in recognition of his academic excellence, commitment to social medicine, and recruitment of disadvantaged students and minorities into the health professions.

Dr. Flores received many awards and recognitions for his efforts to reduce entry barriers and ensure the success of underrepresented minorities in medical professions, he was honored with a "Champions of Health Professions Diversity Award " by The California Wellness Foundation in 2007, the “Health Care Leadership Award”from the National Medical Fellowships, Inc. in 2009, and the “Health Care Champions” award from Community Health Councils, Inc. in 2011, and the “Community Advocate of the Year” by the Adventist Health White Memorial board of trustees in 2013. Dr. Flores is a national leader in cultural competency curriculum development and implementation and has worked collaboratively with David Hayes-Bautista, Ph.D., for over 20 years.
