Bridge To Health Wellness Forum 2016
The Boyle Heights Wellness Forum is a free community event that aims to help residents in the community gain access to services as well as information on the following topics:
Education
Pathways to College; College Admissions/ Financial Aid
Financial Literacy
Budgeting, Credit and Identity Theft
Safety
Personal and Community Safety; Self Defense
Health
Medical and Health Care Coverage for All
Date: Saturday, August 27, 2016
Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Intersection of 1st & Chicago in Boyle Heights.
Cost: This event is open to the public and free of charge. No cost for participating community organizations.
Attendees: 1,200 people expected to participate.
What: The White Memorial Community Leadership Council is presenting a community Wellness Forum to improve the quality of life for residents in the Boyle Heights community. On hand will be representatives from organizations and institutions in the Education, Financial, Safety and Health industries.
Partners will include public agencies, community agencies and organizations that will provide their expert advice to help Boyle Heights residents navigate health care information, wellbeing and safety.
Why: To provide our community with access to helpful resources and navigational tools to help them find the services available that they need.
Who: Los Angeles residents of all ages are invited and encouraged to attend. Some of the free services that will be provided include: health services, financial literacy, community and personal safety, education for K-12 and college.
