Helping You to Understand the Financial Aspect of Your Care

Our Patient Financial Services team is here to help you understand your hospital bill and assist you with questions you have regarding the costs of the services we provide. The information in this section will help you navigate the medical billing process and prepare you for your visit. Discussing expenses in advance with your doctor, your insurer and the hospital can help you to be prepared for any costs you may incur.

It is important to note that most doctors are independent practitioners, not hospital employees. Therefore, they will bill you or your health plan separately.

Understanding the Billing Process

When you check in we open an account in your name to record all financial transactions related to your care. We ask that you take care of your co-pay and deductible at the time of your visit.

Please be prepared to provide us with your current health plan information so that we can submit a claim on your behalf. We will send you a statement when we bill your health plan. After your provider has paid its portion, we will send you a second statement if you have a remaining balance due. Full payment is due at that time. If you do not have health coverage, the first statement you receive will be your bill.

Financial Assistance

We know that medical costs are often unexpected and aren't always covered by health plans. That's why we offer financial assistance programs and short- and long-term payment options to help you manage your medical bill. Our financial counselors can also help you understand your health coverage or apply for financial aid.
