Sonora Diagnostic Imaging

MRI, CT & X-ray services

At Adventist Health Sonora’s Center for Sports Medicine, we have the ability to provide diagnostic imaging services up to seven days per week, with regularly scheduled exams available Monday through Friday and emergency exams available Saturday and Sunday.

MRI

We have two locations for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): at Sonora Regional Imaging Center and at the main hospital campus. The hospital offers full-scale MRI services including arthrograms.

We are proud to offer a Siemens Espree MRI system, which provides a large, open-bore design that can accommodate all sizes of patients and eliminates anxiety and claustrophobia. For many exams, your feet go in first, and your head remains outside of the system. That has never been possible before in open MRI. But most important of all, the power of this MRI system is three times greater than the conventional open system and ensures your doctor gets the most confident diagnosis.

To complement our MRI service, we have a highly trained radiologist, Jason Hwang, MD. Dr. Hwang specializes in body MRI interpretations and provides exceptionally insightful reports regarding musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Learn more about Dr. Hwang, visit his page).

X-ray

X-ray services are conveniently located at several locations including:

  • Our main hospital
  • Indian Rock Rapid Care
  • Angels Camp Rapid Care
  • Health Pavilion
  • Rural Health
  • Our orthopedic clinics

CT

Our computed tomography (CT) service utilizes the latest technology and is available seven days per week at the main hospital and five days per week at the imaging center.

Our staff is ready to assist you whether you suffer an acute injury from an immediate trauma or a chronic condition from repetitive injuries. We offer the convenience of one scheduling line for all of our diagnostic imaging locations and services. Our schedulers are available five days per week.

Please call (209) 536-3437 to schedule your imaging exam. You can also walk in for regular X-rays at either Rapid Care location, at the Health Pavilion or main hospital campus.
