Holly Harris, DPT, CSCS

harris in a half marathonHolly Harris is a physical therapist at Bones Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Holly was born and raised here in Sonora and earned an Associate’s degree from Columbia Community College. She received a Bachelor’s in Sports Science, Sports Medicine with a minor in Biological Science from University of the Pacific and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. Holly has additional training as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is currently studying for the Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) test.

During her undergrad studies, Holly completed 100 shadow hours in sports sciences and came to love physical therapy for the fact that it is medical, creative and allows her to meet and help patients. In addition to working with athletes as a physical therapist, Holly has also worked as a coach. She was the head swimming coach at Sonora High School for two years and also worked as the assistant coach. She loves swimming, enjoys walking and dabbles with running. She ran a full marathon in 2010 and has completed several half marathons since then.

“We all have amazing capabilities and the human body is one of the most intricate and amazing things in the world,” says Holly. “I am thankful to God for allowing me to be in this career, doing what I love, and letting me marvel at his masterpieces (my patients) and His healing and care for them every day.”
