How often do I need to renew my commercial driver’s license?
If you have a commercial driver’s license, then you are required to have a DMV/DOT physical exam every 2 years, (unless you are a school bus driver, you must meet other regulatory requirements). This physical is also required if you are being monitored for a medical problem such as high blood pressure, heart disease or diabetes.
We meet all national and local requirements to administer DMV/DOT physicals
Effective May 21, 2014, all commercial drivers must be examined by a medical professional listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. Only medical examiners that have completed training and successfully passed a test on FMCSA’s physical qualification standards are listed on the National Registry. At Adventist Health and Rideout Occupational health, our providers have all met this standard and are listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
