Evening of Appreciation

On November 8, 2018, the Rideout Foundation held the Annual Assembly and Appreciation Dinner at Southridge Event Center. Nearly 150 attendees heard a retrospective of the past year from Jeff Swanson, the Foundation Executive Director and David Tarke, Foundation Chair. Jeff Swanson memorialized, Bill Gilbert, Jim Kennedy and Terrance Zall - all former members of the Hospital Board and friends of the Rideout Foundation who passed earlier this year, saying, “These three men made a lasting impact on Rideout and they are forever part of our legacy.”

At the end of the program, Adventist Health and Rideout President, Rick Rawson addressed the crowd explaining the mission of Adventist Health and Rideout. He thanked Foundation fundraising participants, volunteers and supporters and he spoke to us about the power of philanthropy and its impact on the health of our community. He made note of the investments being made by supporters, and, with emotion, he addressed the terrifying and fast-moving fire in Paradise, California that began earlier in the day. He discussed the plight of our sister hospital at Adventist Health Feather River, and how all of us at Adventist Health will join hands to help.
