Adventist Health offers multiple employment models to accommodate every provider.

Employed Model

Corporate Practice of Medicine Doctrine in California requires physicians to be employed by a physician based entity. Adventist Heath contracts with professional corporations to provide care in the California communities in which we serve. This path gives providers a chance to concentrate more on their patients and less on running a business. Benefits of this model include:

  • Opportunities throughout multiple settings and locations

Our facilities in Oregon and Hawaii are able to directly employ physicians and offer the same benefits packages as all other hospital employees in those areas.

Independent Model

Adventist Health offers physicians an opportunity to join community practices within an area we serve. Physicians who choose this model usually enjoy both the medical and business side of a practice setting. Benefits of practicing independently include:
