Nurse Navigator
When you have joint replacement surgery at Adventist Health Orthopedic Clinic, your nurse navigator is a registered nurse who is by your side every step of the way.
This individual serves as your:
- Advocate and go-to resource for any questions or concerns
- Teacher about joint replacement surgery and what to expect
- Communication bridge with your care team, which includes your surgeon, orthopedic nurses and rehabilitation therapists
- Friend to provide emotional support to you and your family
- Guide and cheerleader during your recovery
“I am the patient advocate who is here to provide education, encouragement,
and enthusiasm — a combination of mom, teacher, and boot camp sergeant!”
