Spiritual Care

Physical health and wellbeing are significantly improved when spiritual health is also improved. For more than 120 years, chaplains and caregivers at Adventist Health Portland Medical Center have ministered to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients in the medical center and outpatient settings.

Our belief in whole person care is core to the Adventist Health mission of living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.

Our chaplains and spiritual care volunteers are available 24/7 to provide spiritual and emotional support for patients, family members and caregivers. In addition to regular visits to patients, our team is available for counseling, prayer, blessings and crisis support for those of any faith or of no faith at all. Please don’t hesitate to ask your caregiver know if you or your family would like to visit with a chaplain.
