Employee Giving Campaign

Your health matters so much to our team, many of our associates participate in our Employee Giving Campaign. When they give, they make an investment in changing the lives of our patients, our team members and our community

In the last 20 years, our employees have donated more than $3 million to support every department of the hospital. Some have donated to specific programs and services that match their interests and goals. Others provide unrestricted gifts we can use wherever the need is greatest. Our associates also choose between one-time gifts and ongoing payroll deductions.

Some of the ways our associates donate to Adventist Health Portland include:

Cornerstone Fund (unrestricted gifts)

Through unrestricted gifts to the Cornerstone Fund, the foundation can respond to requests from any hospital department or clinic. These gifts provide the flexibility for the foundation and Adventist Health Portland leadership to quickly respond to the most pressing needs of our patients and community — everything from staff education and equipment to patient assistance and other sudden needs.

Patient Care Services Fund

Our patient care teams deliver mission-inspired care to patients every day. Associates donate resources that can be directed to meet a variety of needs in our hospital patient care areas. This fund supports things like clinical education, critical equipment needs on nursing units and patient care aids.

Adventist Health Medical Group Fund

Like our hospital, our clinics carry out our mission daily out in our community. This fund supplies needed resources to support our clinics in their ministry of health and healing — including patient access improvements, clinical education and certification scholarships for team members, co-pay assistance for patients who can’t afford to see their providers, and much more.

Employee Emergency Fund and The Pearl Fund

The Employee Emergency Fund offers short-term financial assistance for employees experiencing a crisis or emergency. The Pearl Fund, created in memory of longtime employee Pearl Crain, is especially for employees facing major medical crises. Both funds help pay employee household expenses like rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance and so on.
