How Do We Compare?

Adventist Medical Center's journey is one of continuous improvement. Our patients deserve the best outcomes, the best service, and freedom from harm of any kind within our control. Transparency is an important piece of our quality efforts as it helps patients make more educated choices.

The following websites serve as tools for our community so that they can research the care found at Adventist Medical Center compared with other hospitals in Oregon and the nation.

  • The Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems has created ORHospitalGuide.org to improve public transparency around hospital quality.
  • Hospital Compare is a joint effort of various government health agencies and the Hospital Quality Alliance (HQA), a public-private collaboration established to promote reporting on hospital quality of care. Hospital Compare measures how often Adventist Medical Center and other hospitals provide key aspects of the recommended care adults should receive for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgery. This information is available to you at www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.
  • Healthgrades.com offers ratings on hospitals and physicians.
  • The Joint Commission has a longstanding commitment to providing meaningful information about the comparative performance of accredited organizations to the public. The Quality Check® Web site, www.qualitycheck.org.
