Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, ob/gyn, small parts, and vascular
- Analyzes sonograms, compiles sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician
- Maintains daily log of patients seen, completes exam billing forms
- Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area; and maintains adequate supplies
- Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required
- Transports and positions patients
- Performs other related duties as required
- Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the CAAHEP
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in appropriate specialty
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum one year medical imaging technologist experience in an accredited acute care facility or clinic
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnostic ultrasound procedures including procedures relating to trauma, operating room, delivery room, and portables
- Capable of performing position related physical requirements
