Temporary Per Diem Clinical Dietician

NUTRITION SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Rate: $42.832-$49.673

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:

- Assesses nutritional status of patients as appropriate

- Develops, documents, and implements nutrition care plans for patients as needed

- Provides guidance and direction in dietary planning including regular and therapeutic diets

- Develops nutritional programs for the Hospital and community

- Acts as a resource to hospital physicians and staff on dietary and nutritional issues

- Counsels patients of food-drug interactions per policy as needed

- Provides nutritional education and therapeutic diet counseling to patients and significant others as ordered, or as needed

- Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college/university

- Current registered member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

- Two years hospital experience in nutrition counseling and therapeutic diet counseling

- Capable of performing position related physical requirements
