The rehabilitation team is always happy to graduate our patients to a higher level of independence. Here are a few of our patients that had an experience that they wanted to share:

Dalmacio Macahilas – Multiple trauma with respiratory failure

“From the moment I arrived, I knew this was a team that would care about me personally and have my best interests at heart. The unit was very clean, and the staff was excellent. During my stay, some of myfavorite times were spent with the other patients, both at meal times and in group sessions. I’m very glad I chose Adventist Health Lodi Memorial for my care.”

Karen Pedro, RN and Patient – Non-traumatic brain injury

“I’ve been a nurse for over 25 years and would never have imagined myself in this position, of being sick. But here I am, and I’m very glad that I chose Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Acute Physical Rehab Center to provide my care. Brain injuries can cause all kinds of havoc on your body, and the team under the direction of Dr. Clair are wonderful. They are top notch, from the registered nurses, CNAs, dieticians and housekeepers. But the most help I’ve had since being here has been from the therapists. Being a nurse, and liking to be in control of everything, it was hard for me to let go and allow the therapists to help me. The minute I let go of control is when I started to feel better. From the minute you get up until breakfast, it’s not easy, it is hard. You must be willing to conform to the program, and those rest breaks are hard earned. The therapists are so professional. I know this, but especially in the gym or in the dining room. I sing their praises. I want others to know how great they are and that they will help you get better. I can’t thank them enough!”

Pamela Teresi – Stroke Survivor

“I arrived at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Acute Physical Rehab Center with no function in my left arm or leg. I had suffered a stroke. Working together with the team of occupational, physical and speech therapists, I was able to regain my mobility and function within a couple of weeks. The team is amazing from the top down, with Dr. Clair’s distinctive touch, knowledge and wisdom keeping everything on track while I recovered. I love all the staff and appreciate their hard work and caring to help me return home.”
