Cancer Care Team

At Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, you’ll be in the compassionate and experienced hands of an entire team of dedicated cancer care specialists, all working together with one mission: to help you get better. Depending on your individual treatment plan, your team may include:

• Physicians — Oncologist, surgeon, radiologist, radiation oncologist and others.
• Nurse specialists — chemotherapy infusion, physician support, post-surgical care, in-home care and others.
• Technologists — CT scans, ultrasound, X-ray, radiation therapy and other services; all utilized by highly trained associates on your side.
• Dietitian — help with special diets, coping with side-effects of treatment, nutritional support, healthy eating plans and so forth.
• Social worker — connections with community-based support services.
• Nurse navigator — coordination of services and appointments, emotional support; providing a hand through the entire process.
• Other medical professionals as needed for your specific care.

Heading up your care team will be our cancer physician specialist and his support team, who will:

• Formulate a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
• Help you schedule appointments for imaging, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and other services.
• Coordinate your care services
• Monitor your overall health
• Track and report your treatment progress
• Meet with you regularly
• Serve as your team to answer questions and concerns about your care, from start to finish.
