Simran Kaur
Acute Care Pharmacy Resident
Simran Kaur was raised in Bakersfield, California. She received her Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Administration from University of the Pacific
and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy.
Her clinical interests include infectious disease and cardiology. Upon
completion of her residency, she plans to pursue a career as a clinical
pharmacist, obtain BPS board certification and precept pharmacy students.
In her free time, Simran enjoys traveling, playing with her dog and going
to the beach.
Edmund Yap
Acute Care Pharmacy Resident
Edmund Yap was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Loma Linda,
California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management
at La Sierra University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda
University School of Pharmacy. His clinical interests include psychiatry
and infectious disease. Upon completion of his residency, Edmund looks
forward to working as a clinical pharmacist and continuing to guide and
mentor future pharmacists. His interests outside of pharmacy include video
games, anime, music, and eating new foods.
Tara Abdul Ahad
Acute Care Pharmacy Resident
Tara Abdul Ahad was raised in Los Angeles, California. She received her
Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology from the
University of California, Santa Barbara and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from the University of Southern California. Her clinical interests include
cardiology, critical care, and infectious disease. Upon completion of
her residency, Tara plans to pursue a career as a clinical pharmacist
and obtain BPS board certification. In her free time, Tara enjoys trying
new restaurants, hiking, and playing basketball.
Kevin Parsamyan
Acute Care Pharmacy Resident
Kevin Parsamyan was raised in Chatsworth, California. He received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Cell & Molecular Biology from California State
University of Northridge and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western
University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy. His clinical interests
include infectious diseases, critical care, and anticoagulation therapies.
Upon completion of his residency, he hopes to pursue a career as a critical
care pharmacist and obtain the Advanced Practice Pharmacist License. In
his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching movies, working
out, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tenia Mirzaian
Community Pharmacy Resident
Tenia Mirzaian grew up in Glendale, California. She received her Bachelor
of Arts degree in Biology from California State University, Northridge,
and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California.
Her clinical interests include diabetes management, cardiology, and ambulatory
care services. Upon completion of her residency, Tenia plans to pursue
a career as a clinical pharmacist and precept the next generation of pharmacy
students. In her free time, Tenia enjoys hiking and traveling.
Melania Mikhaeilyan
Community Pharmacy Resident
Originally from Glendale, California, Melania earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Biology from California State University, Northridge and a Doctor
of Pharmacy degree from University of Southern California. Her clinical
interests include research, transitions of care and ambulatory care. Following
residency, she intends to become licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist
in California and contribute to the community with involvement in experiential
education for student pharmacists. In her free time, Melania enjoys painting,
playing the piano and traveling.
