At Adventist Health Glendale, we recognize that there are no magic answers to loss and the subsequent grief one feels. Nothing, not even time, will make the pain completely disappear, but loss can be transforming if it is met with a courageous heart and a willingness to make sense of the changes it brings.
Adventist Health Glendale's Beyond Loss Bereavement Ministry is dedicated to helping you find your courage during challenging times. Through a network of support groups, grief counseling and healing activities, our goal is to help guide you through the often confusing twists and turns of emotions during losses such as death, divorce, health, home, finances, friends and more.
Beyond Loss programs and services include:
- Individual grief counseling.
- Weekly bereavement support groups.
- Advocacy for the bereaved.
- Suicide prevention, intervention and post-vention support groups.
- Intervention following traumatic events for individuals, families and communities.
- Bereavement education and ongoing training for professionals and laypersons.
Grief Support
Adventist Health Glendale offers several grief support groups each week. Highly trained facilitators provide a place of emotional and physical safety for the grieving, while fellow members provide additional support. Click here to view a list of our current grief support groups.
Grief Training Program
The Beyond Loss Bereavement Ministry at Adventist Health Glendale also offers hands-on, experiential workshops for those interested in becoming certified in bereavement facilitation. CEs are available. Learn more.

Healing Events
Honoring those we've lost can often provide healing in the hearts of those who grieve. Beyond Loss offers several special events that can help facilitate the journey from pain and grief to healing.
