athletes. The Sports Medicine Program at Glendale Adventist
Medical Center helps patients recover strength, endurance and
range-of-motion that allows them to get back into the game as
quickly as possible.
As athletes themselves, the GAMC sports medicine care team knows
not only our patients' medical needs, but also their drive to
return as strong as ever following surgery and/or rehabilitation.
Comprehensive Services for a Variety of Needs
Orthopedic specialists with certification in sports medicine are
available to evaluate injuries and prescribe a plan of action for
adult, senior and youth injuries. These physicians and physical
therapists are also available for emergency evaluations,
consultations and second opinions.
The Sports Medicine Program helps athletes with injuries such as:
- Repetitive motion and overuse injuries including muscle strain,
tendonitis, shin splints and tennis elbow
- Rotator cuff and other shoulder injuries
- ACL and meniscus (knee) tears
- Back strain
- Spinal injuries
- Hand and wrist injuries
- Hip and pelvic injuries
- Knee, foot and ankle injuries
- And much more
In addition, we offer fitness training, conditioning programs and
patient education services.
