When knee pain has become so debilitating that it is nearly impossible to walk, work and enjoy hobbies, knee replacement at Glendale Adventist Medical Center may be a good option for you. Our knee replacement program has received the Gold Seal of Approval® from The Joint Commission.
When conservative treatments have stopped working, our orthopedics experts can help find the best option for you.
Total Knee Replacement
A total knee replacement may be necessary when osteoarthritis has damaged most of the knee joint, making walking and other activities extremely painful. With a total knee replacement the surgeon replaces all of the worn surfaces of the knee with mechanical parts, restoring function in the knee and allowing people to return to the activities they love.
Partial Knee Replacement
GAMC orthopedic specialists also perform MAKOplasty® partial knee replacements as an option for those people in which osteoarthritis is limited to just one or two parts of the knee. Because only a portion of the knee is replaced, a smaller incision is made, there is less post-surgery pain and recovery is usually faster.
After any type of joint replacement, Glendale Adventist offers award-winning home health care (if needed), as well as physical therapy to help get you back to the activities you love as soon as possible and with less pain.
