Light Up a Life Tree Lighting Ceremony

Make your tribute donation now!RSVP for the Virtual Event

Light Up A Life is an annual tradition celebrated throughout the United States to increase awareness and support of hospice care. The tree lighting ceremony is a meaningful way to honor those we love and those who have passed on. This event is open to everyone.

This year, because of health regulations related to COVID-19, our event will be virtual. And because COVID-19 has had such a dramatic impact for those of us who have had friends or loved ones with the disease, perhaps this year will be even more memorable.

Details for this year's tree lighting ceremony:

Thursday, December 10, 2020
5:30 p.m.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Edmund Lew, family medicine physician and medical director of hospice services at Adventist Health Glendale.

Attendance at the virtual event is free. Once you have registered, you will receive a link via email to view the program.

For those who wish to participate in the special tribute program, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation to Adventist Health Glendale by sponsoring a tree light or ornament. Each light and ornament on our Christmas tree represents a loved one who is being honored or memorialized. The names of your loved ones will be included in the Light Up A Life digital tribute booklet to be emailed before the tree lighting ceremony. Angel and Candle honorees will have their names announced during a tribute presentation.

Tribute gift levels for the Christmas Tree are:

  • Tree Top Star - Reserved in memory of Hernan and Orfi Barros
  • Guardian Angel - $2,500
  • Angel Sponsor - $250
  • Candle Sponsor - $100
  • Tree Light Sponsor - $50

Make your gift online now, or RSVP for the virtual event without making a donation.

In order to include your loved one's name(s) in the virtual event, your donation must be received by Monday, November 30.

Proceeds will benefit Adventist Health Glendale's hospice services and Beyond Loss Bereavement Ministry.
