Compassion in Action – Crisis in Armenia

Donate!

On behalf of Adventist Health Glendale, we want to thank all of our donors who have already made a generous gift in support of the people of Armenia. It is because of your heartfelt generosity that we have been able to purchase and send critical medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment to Stepanakert.

The medical professionals and community members we’ve met through our annual mission trips to Armenia have counted on us delivering supplies, expertise and human connection; they’re counting on us all the more now and we’re proud of our collective response to deliver on our promise. Thank you for your help in making this possible!

On November 6, 2020, Dr. Arby Nahapetian and a group of five community volunteers left Los Angeles to perform humanitarian work in the region. Each carried three suitcases filled with wound vacs, external fixators and other supplies used to treat physical injuries and burns that have been flooding hospitals in the region. By Sunday, they delivered these life-saving devices and supplies to hospitals personally and engaged in teaching local care-givers proper uses of these devices.

With your generous donations, we were able to raise the funds necessary to purchase two surgical C-arms, two cauterization machines, 25 additional wound vacs and orthopedic external fixators. We are pleased to share that all equipment was successfully delivered by a cargo plane, received and distributed at Yerevan’s and bordering hospitals.

Shortly after, another group of volunteers traveled to Armenia delivering much needed supplies and equipment. The response from our associates, physicians and community is unprecedented and we’re incredibly grateful to you for being a part of this response.

Mission Armenia continues to need your support to bring lifesaving medical treatments to the people of Armenia. To donate, click the Donate button on this page.
