Medical Student Clerkships

Course Description

The Family Medicine Center offers a four-week, ambulatory-based clerkship for fourth year U.S. medical students interested in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Adventist Health Glendale, as well as a third year, core outpatient family medicine rotation for medical students from UCLA, USC and Loma Linda University. Clerkship opportunities are not available for international medical students/graduates at this time.

The clerkship emphasizes preventive care for all ages with a focus on health for the underserved in a multicultural city. Students will see patients with faculty/residents and independently (under the supervision of the faculty/residents) at the Family Medicine Center. Additionally, there is a daily didactic conference series in which clerkship students are expected to participate.
