How To Apply for the Family Medicine Residency Program

The Adventist Health Glendale Family Medicine Residency Program only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications are accepted and reviewed through ERAS from September through December each year. Applications received after this date will be reviewed as interview space permits. Interviews are scheduled after applications are reviewed and by invitation only. Interviews will be held from October to January each year.

To apply, please submit the following materials via ERAS:

  • ERAS Common Application Form
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcripts
  • Dean's letter
  • USMLE or COMLEX transcripts (no minimum scores, preference given to applicants who passed on first or second attempt)
  • Letters of recommendation (minimum of 3)

Additional application requirements for international medical graduates:

  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident status, EAD or J1 Visa required
  • California letter (required prior to entering residency)
  • ECFMG certificate (required prior to entering residency)
  • U.S. clinical experience (six months minimum)
  • Graduation cut-off: 10 years (preference is given to applicants who have graduated within the last five years)
