Adventist Health Lodi Memorial names new finance officer

Employee News May 30, 2018 - Jason Whitney, who previously served as operations executive at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, has been promoted to finance officer for the faith-based nonprofit medical center and other services.

As operations executive, Whitney led the organization’s master planning process and played a major role in the strategic operating plan. In his new role as finance officer, Whitney will work more closely with departments and services as he refines the budget process and collaborates with hospital leaders in their specific areas. He will continue to serve as a member of the executive leadership team and report to President Daniel Wolcott.

Whitney joined Adventist Health Lodi Memorial in 2015 as assistant vice president of business development and was crucial in the implementation of a new electronic medical records system across the organization’s medical offices and hospital within a year. His leadership and organizational vision led him to create a monthly operations council process to drive leader accountability. He also restructured the surgery center and radiology joint ventures. Before joining Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, Whitney served as director of business strategy for the Adventist Health system, based in Roseville, where he was a key player in every stage of the Lodi Memorial’s affiliation with Adventist Health.

“Jason has an impressive depth of knowledge in finance and operations, and he is committed to work collaboratively with every one of our leaders to achieve growth and success” Wolcott says. “His expertise and commitment to the financial health of Adventist Health Lodi Memorial will allow us to further address the needs of our community.”

Whitney holds a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., and Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and strategic management from the University of California, Davis. He and his wife, Jenny, live in Lodi with their three children.
