Family Medicine Physician Joins Adventist Health Physicians Network in Sanger

SANGER – Christopher H. Kang, MD, has joined the Adventist Health Physician Network providing family medicine services in the Sanger community.

Kang grew up in Sanger, has been practicing medicine in Sanger for more than 30 years and is well known to patients and the community.

He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, before he decided to pursue family medicine, then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis.

Kang maintains memberships in the Fresno-Madera Medical Society, the Western Occupational & Environmental Medicine Association and the California Medical Association.

His inspiration to become a doctor stemmed from his father’s work as an optometrist, as well as his own natural inclination.

“I have always had an overall interest in all aspects of health care, and what I want to be able to do is use my God-given gift to help people,” he said.

Kang said he wants his patients to know that their health is a priority for him, and that proper patient care takes time. He extends that commitment to his care of high school students in Sanger, providing sports physicals and helping to look after the athletes.

He spends his free time racing and showing vintage automobiles and derives pleasure from maintaining his cars.

He and his wife, Cindy, who worked alongside him in his previous practice, have been married for 32 years. The couple has an adult daughter.

Kang will continue to care for patients Monday through Friday at his office at 2317 Jensen Ave., and he may be reached at (559) 875-5002.
