Adventist Health Hanford and Selma receive Performance Excellence Award!

Awards & Recognition

HANFORD/SELMA – The Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes (CALNOC) is recognizing teams at Adventist Health Hanford and Selma for their commitment to patient safety and quality.

Both hospitals were honored with a Performance Excellence Award for “Best Performance in Preventing Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers.” A pressure ulcer, sometimes called a bedsore, is an injury to the skin or underlying tissue caused by pressure, fracture and moisture. The ulcers often occur when patients have limited mobility and can’t change positions in bed on their own.

“This award highlights our teams’ continuous efforts to provide great nursing care,” says Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley. “I am beyond proud of the work that our teams do to assure that Adventist Health is the best and safest place to receive care.”

CALNOC is the leading provider of actionable information and research on nursing sensitive quality indicators.

The non-profit organization will present the award to Adventist Health during its annual conference in San Diego in October.
