Leadership

Adventist Health has announced the appointment of Andrew Jahn to president of the Adventist Health Southern California Region. Jahn previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Adventist Health Sonora and affiliated clinics in Northern California. Jahn will assume his new duties full-time on February 28, 2018 and report to Bill Wing, President of Adventist Health.

"It is an indescribable privilege to transition to the Adventist Health Southern California Region to lead an incredible team," said Jahn. “I’m thankful that I have had the opportunity to serve with quality people doing heartfelt and exceptional work during my 15 plus years in Adventist healthcare, and I know that the extremely talented team I am joining in Southern California shares those qualities.”

Wing said Jahn’s history with the company made him the ideal candidate for the role. "Jahn is a creative and compassionate leader with the right skills and experience to lead Southern California," said Wing. "Jahn has demonstrated his deep passion for our mission and commitment to the communities we serve throughout his tenure with Adventist Health."

"We are very pleased to invite Andrew to the Southern California Region role and look forward to his leadership and vision," said Scott Reiner, Adventist Health CEO.  "I am confident in Andrew’s ability to drive high quality patient care, purpose-driven employee engagement and fiscal stewardship."

Prior to this assignment, Jahn served as president and CEO of Adventist Health Sonora in Sonora, Calif., since 2013, overseeing a 152-bed acute care hospital and its network of 30 hospital-based rural health clinics, cancer center, skilled nursing facility, outpatient surgery center and wellness programs serving the rural communities of Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa counties. He previously served as vice president and CFO at Adventist Health Sonora, where he managed the hospital’s $250 million operating budget and oversaw business development, growth and acquisitions with direct oversight of key hospital service lines. Jahn has served in key roles in other health care facilities including director of finance at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and assistant to the CFO of Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Jahn is a member of the Union College Advisory Board, Chair elect of the Hospital Council of Northern California, Board Member and Trustee for the California Hospital Association, and serves on the executive board of the Tuolumne County Business Council. Jahn holds a bachelor of Science from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Jahn and his family will be relocating to Southern California in the coming months and are looking forward to being an active part of the community.
