HANFORD – For nearly 30 years, Dr. Frank Gavini has been caring for patients and their hearts. The board-certified cardiologist now has taken on even more responsibility, after accepting the role of Chief Medical Officer for Adventist Health / Central Valley Network.

This role will allow Dr. Gavini to continue to care for patients in addition to providing leadership and support in Adventist Health’s strategic initiatives to improve patient experience, quality and safety.

“I’m thrilled to have Dr. Gavini join our leadership team,” says Andrea Kofl, Adventist Health / Central Valley Network president. “His dedication to excellence will serve our patients and organization well.”

Since joining Adventist Health in 1988, Dr. Gavini has served in numerous leadership roles. He was Chief of Medical Staff for Hanford Community Medical Center in 2003-2004; chairman of the Department of Medicine from 2006 – 2015, and a member of the Corporate Physician Executive Leadership Committee (PELC), the Corporate Cardiovascular Content Team and the Corporate Cerner Cardiac Council. He also has served as chair of the Central Valley Network Computerized Physician Order Entry Performance Improvement Team and on the faculty of the Hanford Family Medicine Residency program.

“I look forward to collaborating with the medical staff and employees on improving quality and bringing new services to our region,” says Dr. Gavini. “It is an honor and privilege to join the excellent executive team as Chief Medical Officer of Adventist Health / Central Valley Network hospitals.”
